Primary Goal
We invest in research that directly benefits Saskatchewan’s producers. This involves prioritizing work that leads to yield gains, improved quality characteristics and other agronomic efficiencies.
Secondary Objectives
- Expanding public- and farmer-funded wheat breeding and variety development.
- Expanding Saskatchewan’s capacity for research through the development of related people and infrastructure.
- Enhancing research programs that add to the profitability and sustainability of Saskatchewan wheat producers, including agronomic and cropping system research.
- Establishing collaborative research agreements with other commissions, government entities, associations and private organizations.
